30 Day MMA Challenge: Day 30 Favorite Fight of All Time

Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton Jackson 2

I love everything about this match.

30 Day MMA Challenge: Day 29 Least Favorite Fight of all time
Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock  Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3 - The Final Chapter
To me, this match was unnecessary.  Their first encounter was epic and helped establish a new age for the UFC.  Their second match was, according to Shamrock , stopped prematurely by Herb Dean (who would later be recognized as one of MMA’s best referees).  In this fight, it same result - Ortiz dominating Shamrock within the first two minutes of the match.
After this fight, Shamrock would announce his retirement, which lasted about a year and a half. The only positive that came from this fight, was the 4.3 ratings the broadcast received in the main event.

30 Day MMA Challenge: Day 27 A future event you would like to go to.
UFC 134: Rio
Silva vs. Okami, Shogun vs. Griffin 2, Nogueira vs. Shcaub.  This event is shaping up to be a big one.

30 Day MMA Challenge: Day 25 Favorite fighter quote/trash talking

If we are talking mixed martial artists, my favorite quote would be this one:

I will never underestimate my opponents. I always want to feel like the guy that I’m fighting is the most dangerous guy that I’ve fought in my entire career. And that’s how I’ll take every one of my fights. - Georges St. Pierre

Now if we’re talking in terms of overall fighters (boxing, kickboxing, etc).

Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

30 Day Mixed Martial Arts Challenge: Day 24 A fighter who you’d want to have your back in a bar fight.

My choice would have to be former UFC Heavyweight Champion Bas Rutten.  He even has a DVD of street fighting tips.

30 Day MMA Challenge: Day 23 A fighter you would like to see in a movie

Bro Cop and Cro Cop

A buddy cop comedy starring Mirko Filipovic and UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

30 Day MMA Challenge: Day 21 Most underrated Fighter
My vote for this goes to Light Heavyweight/Middleweight fighter Gerard Mousassi.  Despite winning not one, but two DREAM Grand Prixs (2008 Middleweight, 2010 Light Heavyweight), Mousassi is not rated amongst the top ten pound for pound fighters in the world.
Mousassi has a record of 30-3-2, with wins over Renalto Sobral, former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion, Ronaldo Souza, the current Strikeforce middleweight champion.
In his last fight, he scored a majority draw with Keith Jardine, back in April

30 Day MMA Challenge: Day 20 Least Favorite Entrance

With all due respect to Chuck Liddell and Charles “Mask” Lewis, this entrance did not do the Iceman any favors at this UFC event.

Although the intro video was unique, the song wasn’t that great.

While Mask did refer to Liddell as a “professional killer” and “assassin”, The Iceman would end up losing this fight to Randy Couture in the third round.

30 day mixed martial arts challenge: Day 19 favorite entrance

Wanderlei Silva’s entrance from Pride Final Conflict 2003

While Pride FC was known for their entrances, this one has a special place in my heart.  Not only is it the entrance of my favorite fighter, but the atmosphere and the tone in Lenne Hardt’s announcing just makes this entrance epic.

And yes, this is probably the second or third time I have posted this video.
