My name is Al Stover and I am the Sports Editor of the Easterner newspaper. I am a journalism major and a fiction writer, who has written anything from dragons flying in the sky, to cage fighting. My dream is to work at a major magazine or newspaper and to become a best selling author.
I am a fan of MMA, boxing, kick boxing, and even pro wrestling. I write and post about anything that involves combat and fighters, including comic book superheroes and villians, because those guys and gals are fighters in their own right.

2012 Combat Sports Resolution: Kickboxing Match #3 Mirko Cro Cop vs. Ernesto Hoost for the K-1 Grand Prix championship at the 1999 K-1 Grand Prix Finals
Hoost went for a sweep early on while Cro Cop delivered a quick burst of jabs and hooks. Cro Cop was able to knock Hoost down in the first and second rounds before Hoost was able to knock the Croation Sensation on his rear near the end of the second round.
Needing to finish Cro Cop, Hoost made a vicious body shot to the midsection that knocked Cro Cop to the canvas, then followed it up with a one-two punch combination to the body that would win him the match and the tournament.
